Happy Canada Day!

Well I can't believe that it is already July! It sure doesn't feel like it!!!! The only way I know it is truly summer is by seeing a mass load of trucks coming and going next door!
It was a pretty relaxing day, well, low key. Linden was still a little under the weather and I was too a little bit. We decided to play at home most of the day. I was disappointed to have missed our Harris Family Gathering! We didn't make it out to the parade either. OH well, maybe next year!
On a more positive note, I have two more followers (so I better keep writing) AND a 'secret' follower....HELLO CHRIS BERGEN! I hope you enjoy this blog! Help you keep up with the family on the mainland. We show Linden your picture so he'll remember you! Hope all is going well on the island!
We went to Nana and Grandpa Gramps' place tonight. We had a great time as always. Linden just LOVES it there...it's no use for me to try to do anything because it just can't compare to Nana! haha There is certainly a special bond there. "Nana, Nana, Again" all night long! And just clings to her legs...sorry mom, can't get much done with Linden around! haha
He also said "Linden" again! :) It is so fun to watch him grow and learn. He is in the imitation stage. So cute. He talks like me with the phone to his ear! And copies what I do...I better be careful! haha
Just a thought....I was saying "ring ring the phone's for you" and realized he probably wonders what "ring ring" means....Is that the sound of the ring tone you selected Mommy?!?!

Twins??

Everyone asked if they were twins....that's what happens when you puke on your beautiful girl clothes! Poor Nevana! I still think she looked BEAUTIFUL :)

Snot Streams, Slides and Swings, Steering, and the States....

Well today has been a good day thus far. Linden slept better last night, although he was still up three times. His nose has been a constant stream of beautiful snot! Many explosive sneezes leaving huge strands of beautiful, shiny mucus! haha okay, too much info! Because of the short nap (due to his cold) we were able to get lots done. Pick up pictures from London Drugs, along with some toothpaste that Linden magically turned into a telephone! haha. It was so cute. He had it up to his ear and was chatting away! He got quite a few smiles with that one from seniors passing by!
We hit up Starbucks (grande soy no whip cinnamon dolce latte please!) then went to the park. It was surprisingly cool with the wind, although some parents let their children run through the cold water still at the water park! Linden went up and down up and down etc the slide a kajilion times. After he was tired of going down the "proper way" ...which took a while...he decided to change it up and climbed up the slide and 'bummed' his way down the steps! haha. Then it was off to the swings. Only the big swing with Mommy please...none of this baby swing nonsense! haha.
Then off we went for a nap. It was short. I only got a bit of weeding done then I had to get him. Poor guy, he was still so tired.
Next Linden did one of his favourite things....ride the forklift with daddy! Jeepers those farmers sure teach their young to drive early!!!! oh man!
Then I got the urge to go to the states. I had never ventured South by myself before. Nana offered to watch Linden for me so off I went. It was great! No problems what so ever!! YAY! I will do it again! I got some ice cream for James and some lactose free yogurt for Linden. It is called Lil' Yami and it is sold at the Dairy right across the Aldergrove Border. He LOVES them...although he did seem a bit itchy after...I'll have to keep an eye on him! oh that guy has such fickle skin! Now he is down again for a nap and I'm gearing up for dinner. I'm thinking BBQ chicken burgers. Well that's all for now! Oh, he's awake! sigh...

Take Two

So I tried to start a blog a while back but just stopped doing it! I think I chose sleep over blogging! :) I will try to update more often...maybe it'd help if I had a few followers! hahaha. I plan to just update you all on our Family's life!

Today was the first Tuesday in a few months where I didn't have to go to work! Unfortunately Linden was up all night sick last night with a stuffy/runny nose and a case of the crankys...I think he gets that from me! I just wish he could tell me what was exactly wrong. Anyways, despite all that I was SO HAPPY to be done work! I was just so happy to have been there today! It would have been so sad to have left a sick baby! I mean Toddler. I was holding him during his nap and my arms were hurting! He sure is getting big!

I am slowly becoming a "harvest widow" (Thanks Kathy Noort for the term)....I see James less and less, but he's still home most nights so that is SWeET!I know Linden misses him and I do too!
